      21. John Wood and David Wood Jr. v. Timothy Wood. Trespass, for cutting 2 white pine trees in a swamp in Middleboro. Deft. pleaded he cut the (1: 109-111) trees by the right of his father Abiel Wood, who was admitted as deft. and pleaded that the land "was Part of the Estate of his Father Henry Wood," the estate not being settled, Abiel pleaded that he was "Tenant in Common with the Plaintiffs and had right: to Work there." Jury verdict for pltfs., 10s. and costs, taxed at 5. 19s. 3d.

      58. Samuel Pratt III (Middleborough Nailer) v. John Wood (Middleboro Husbandman), "who informs and Sues as well for the poor of said Town as for himselfe." Appeal from a judgment by Edward Winslow, JP, in an action of Debt, in which Wood as pltf. recovered 10s. and 1. 0s. 3 1/2s. costs. At Winslow's dwelling house in Rochester Pratt had pleaded not guilty. Jury verdict for Wood, 10s. and costs. Judgment for 10s. and 1. 15s. 3 1/2 d. (each "lawfull money") costs.
      59. Lemuel Donham (Middleboro Cordwainer) v. John Wood (Middleboro Husbandman), "who informs and Sues as well for the poor of said Town as for himselfe." [Same action as #58.]
