      Remarks: John Martin, son of Valentine of Saalbach in Bradenburg. In 1724, he learned the carpenter's trade at Wornitz, near Rothenburg and in 1729 married Dorothea. In 1730 they came to America. They had eleven children, of whom six sons and two daughters survive. He died at sunset, and was buried in the churchyard at York.
