    Notes
    • Possible that a daughter was named Rosina?
Per Rev. B. E. Kramlich Pastoral Records 1858 - 1900, p 172 No. 1123: Esther Frederick died 1893 born in 1835 to Solomon Breidegm and wife Rosina born Ritz.
This Rosina Ritz would have been born about 1800 - 1810
    • Commemorative biographical record of central Pennsylvania : including the counties of Centre, Clearfield, Jefferson and Clarion, Ancestry.com
      p952
Mrs. Andrew Groff was a daughter of Samuel M. and Julia A. (Ritts) Kline, who were born, reared, and married in Berks County, then settled in Lycoming County. She died Feb 21, 1886 aged 88.
Is this a daughter of Elias and Rosina? She would have been born about 1798.
    • History of Clarion County, Pennsylvania, with illustrations ... Davis, A. J. (Aaron J.), Hathitrust.org
      p xxxiv
William Lorah: states that he was born in 1825 in Berks county to Peter and Sarah (Ritts) and came with his parents in 1835 to Clarion county.
On the other hand: William's brother John Lorah biography states that his parents were Peter and Sarah (Ritter) Lorah.
      Need to research this.
1840 Census for Beaver, Venango, PA shows Peter with 3 boys and one girl. Appears his wife had died.
1850 Census for Beaver, Clarion, PA shows Peter with 2 boys, wife Margaret (11 years younger than he) and a 5 year old daughter. Probably his second wife.
    • 1830 Hereford, Berks Co PA
Lists Charles Souser (age 30-40), wife (20-30), and two girls under 5. Was this the Dr. Sousa that was mentioned that married Lydia Ritts?

      1840 Richland, Venango Co PA
Lists a Charly M. Sousa (40-50 years old) and 2 girls.
Lists a Adam Jacoby with wife and 3 boys and 9 girls. Is this one of Elias' and Rosina's daughters?
    • Deed 1 Apr 1830
"THIS INDENTURE, Made the first day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty.
BETWEEN -- Elias Ritz of Hereford Township, Bucks {error, should be Berks}County and State of Pennsylvania, Inn Keeper, and Rosina, his wife, of the one part, -: AND :- CHARLES SAUCY of said Township and State, Doctor of Phisic, of the other part: ..." Eleven acres and 72 Perches for $320.

"...that Charles Sause the grantee within named and Lidia, his wife, ..." sold the same property to John and Jacob Hillegas for $330.
Great clue! Lidia is likely Elias and Rosina's daughter.
